Weekend of December 19 + 20

Christmas services at Five Oaks

You may have a co-worker, a neighbor, or even a family member who doesn’t have a church home but would welcome an invite from you. Childcare up through kindergarten will be available at all services except the 11 pm. The Retreat will be available for our special abilities children during the 2 pm service. Please RSVP at fiveoaks.church/christmas so we can plan for parking and seating.

Coffee deficit warning ahead

When you come to our Christmas eve services, we invite you to enjoy our hot chocolate bar before or after services. The Acorn Café will not be open during our Christmas eve services, so if you are a coffee lover, please plan ahead and get your fill before you come!

Books of the Bible contest for 1st through 4th graders ends this weekend

Hey Tree House kids, now is your last chance to enter to win your own Sam the Detective Beagle, from Build-a-Bear Workshop, for learning the books of the New Testament. Ask your teacher for details and bookmarks. Contest ends December 20.

Help still needed in Children’s Ministry for Christmas services

You can help create a welcoming experience for our extra Christmas services. Help is needed in all services on the 23rd and 24th in the Nursery and Preschool/Kindergarten. Please email Cindy Yarrington, cyarrington@fiveoakschurch.org.

Be an angel this Christmas: thank you in advance

If you and your family, small group, etc., would be able to serve for a service and attend another service, this would be a great gift to one another. Please contact the office at office@fiveoakschurch.org or go to fiveoaks.church/advent and click on the button partway down the page that says, “Christmas Service Sign Up.” Thank you!

Last call to donate winter clothing for Coats of Kindness

Coats of Kindness is an organization that facilitates coat drives. They gather new and gently used winter clothing to be donated to those in need within our community. Five Oaks Church will collect your donated items through December 20. Look for the Coats of Kindness box in the Commons.

The Giving Tree

The Giving Tree in the Fireside Commons bears ornaments labeled with the name and age of a child in need of a Christmas gift. All children are families of Woodbury Elementary School. Pick up an ornament this weekend or next, and please return the ornament attached to the gift by January 3. Gifts may be handed in at Guest Services.
