Ministry Fair This Weekend
Ever wondered who makes things tick at Five Oaks on the weekends? How does everything come together, from the parking lot to the Acorn Café and back? This is your chance to explore the various ministries at our church and find out how you can lend your own gifts. Your help is needed! If you haven’t taken the step in your spiritual walk and started to invest in what God is doing at Five Oaks, it’s probably time! All of our ministries will be represented in the Commons this weekend. Take that step today!

FMSC Woodbury 4 Million Meals Mega-Mobilepack
Five Oaks is partnering with Feed My Starving Children and other Woodbury churches and organizations to pack 4 million meals. This city-wide event runs Thursday-Sunday, October 8-11 at Bielenberg Sports Center. We will come together as a church to pack meals on October 10 from 6-8 pm. Join our 1000-person team at woodburyfeeds.org. Click on “Join a Group” and search for “Five Oaks Church” to register.
Women’s Ministry Fall Fellowship and Speaker Events
Ladies, we have one fall speaker and fellowship event remaining on September 30 between 9:15 -11:30 am. Join us for a time of meeting new friends, connecting with old ones and being encouraged and challenged. We will preview the studies being offered starting in October, plus hear a great message from a well-known speaker. Women of all ages are encouraged to attend as we begin another season of digging into God’s word. For questions and to reserve childcare for this date, please email women@fiveoakschurch.org.
Fall Story of God Class
Learn how the Bible fits together. Read it with greater understanding. Take your faith deeper. The Story of God is great for beginning and experienced Bible readers. The fall 9-week session begins Tuesday, September 29, 6:30-8:30 pm, at the Jerry’s Foods upstairs classroom. (No childcare.) We serve supper every week as part of the class experience; we ask for a $5 weekly donation per person. Registration is $20. SOG is a requirement for membership at Five Oaks. Singles Servingin October
Singles...our serving event in October is the Woodbury city-wide Feed My Starving Children Mega Mobilepack on October 10, 6- 8 pm. Are You Interested in China?
A full 20 percent of the world’s population live in China – 1.4 billion. They have only a fraction of the resources we do but all of the same issues to deal with. To learn more about China, please come to room 101 on Sunday, October 11, at 12:30 pm for pizza and discussion of what Five Oaks-supported missionaries are engaged in. Andy Krause from REACH Global Asia will discuss creative ways that other local churches have partnered with in-country personnel to heighten their impact on the vast population of China. Save the Date: Fall Fun Fest
October 23 from 6:30-9 pm will be the Five Oaks Fall Fun Fest. Kids -- this will be the perfect event to which you can invite all your new friends from school. Parents -- this is an easy invite for anyone who would like a free, fun night out for the family. The Invite Friday Fun Night team is planning the Fall Fun Fest, and they promise games, prizes and fall treats! Baby News
Congratulations to Brian and Jennifer Cretzmeyer on the birth of their son, Nolan Mark, born on September 12. Nolan weighed 8 lbs. 3 oz. and was 21 inches long. Mom, Dad and big brother Caden are all very excited and doing well.
Community Announcements
Christian College Fair
New Life Academy is hosting a Christian College Fair on Thursday, October 1 from 6:30-8:30 pm. Representatives from many of the top Christian colleges and universities in North America will be at the fair. They will also host a free financial aid workshop for families during the fair. This workshop will help families understand why they shouldn’t rule out an education at a Christian institution and what resources are available to them.
Trinity Lone Oak Lutheran School Carnival & Open House
All families are invited October 8, 4-6 pm to learn more about this Christian school in Eagan. You can talk with Principal Cletus Pfeiffer, Mrs. Gail Maser, (preschool director), Ms. Amanda Vaudt (kindergarten teacher) and current TLO parents to find out more about the caring, quality, Christian education available for your child. TLO serves students in preschool through 8th grade.
