Citywide FMSC Packing Event

Five Oaks is partnering with Feed My Starving Children and other Woodbury churches and organizations to pack 4 million meals. This citywide eventruns Thursday-Sunday, October 8-11 at Bielenberg Sports Center.

Financial Peace University

This course provides a great opportunity to learn Dave Ramsey’s method of ridding yourself of debt and spending and saving wisely, a method based in biblical principles. Classes will be held Saturdays, September 12 - November 14 at 4:30 pm. Cost: $93 per family; free for returning graduates. Register at 5oaks.info/registration. Food Trucks Onsite for Fall Kickoff Weekend!

September 12/13 marks our ministry year kickoff.  The start of a new school year means a return to more predictable schedules, football of many kinds, a fresh start in our ministries ... and food trucks at church of course! Join us for Sandy’s Grill & Italian Ice on Saturday after the service, and on Sunday, the Tot Boss food truck and the Free Indeed, featuring Five Oaks’ own Brian and Rachel Fizel’sstrawberry smoothies and gluten-free mini donuts. 

Final Invite Team Walk in Prayer Event Approaching

The last Walk in Prayer on Sunday event will take place on September 20.  Families and friends welcome!  We will have a catered Jimmy John’s lunch in the Commons at 12:30 pm and then head to the new Savona subdivision near the entrance to the Lake Elmo Park Reserve.  We plan to return to church by 2:30.  To register, email Ginger Bollinger, gingerb@grahamoffices.com to ensure we have enough food.  God has great plans for all those moving into this area.  Come join us as we cover the Savona neighborhood with prayers of blessing.

We are having our ministry outreach event at the end of September, which means that we could really use help until then to fill our empty spots. Women’s Ministry Fall Fellowship and Speaker Events

Ladies, mark your calendars for Wednesdays, September 23 and September 30 between 9:15 -11:30 am, as we begin a new ministry year in Rooted Women. As we all resume our school year routines, join us for a time of meeting new friends, connecting with old ones and being encouraged and challenged. Come find out about the studies being offered starting in October, plus hear a great message fromwell-known speakers. Women of all ages are invited encouraged to attend as we begin another season of digging into God’s word. We are getting closer to meeting our volunteer goals for Treehouse this year! We are still seeking volunteers for all ages, birth through grade 5, at the Saturday services and the Sunday 11:00services. Nursery volunteers are needed at all services. Fall Story of God Class

Learn how the Bible fits together. Read it with greater understanding. Take your faith deeper. The Story of God is great for beginning and experienced Bible readers. The fall 9-week session begins Tuesday, September 29, 6:30-8:30 pm, at Jerry’s Foods upstairs classroom. (No childcare.) We serve supper every week as part of the class experience; we ask for a $5 donation per person. Early bird registration discount through September 13 is $15; after that date jumps to $20. SOG is a requirement for membership at Five Oaks. 

Save the Date: Fall Fun Fest

October 23 from 6:30-9:00 will be the Five Oaks Fall Fun Fest. Kids -- this will be the perfect event to which you can invite all your new friends from school. Parents -- this is an easy invite for anyone who would like a free, fun night out for the family. The Invite Friday Fun Night team is planning the Fall Fun Fest, and they promise games, prizes and fall treats! DivorceCare Support Group

This weekly support group provides a warm, caring environment, led by people who have been through divorce. Support offered through video, study, and small group discussion. DivorceCare for Kids (DC4K) Program Starting at The Harbor Church

Divorce is expected to affect 8000+ children in the Twin Cities alone this year. DC4K is a program designed to help children ages 5-12 deal with the many challenges of divorce.
