Weekend of August 20+21

The Gospel Project 101: Five Oaks Students

We are so excited to start The Gospel Project journey with our students and their families. At youth group, students will learn the same story that was taught during the previous weekend’s sermon, but with a unique approach for students and their lives. Our goal is to make the story of God come to life in their everyday lives. Middle and high school students bring a special view and understanding to the story of God, and we want to encourage fruitful conversations within families.

Students will discuss Gospel Project-based questions in their small groups at youth group. They will then take these questions home to help students bring their own perspectives and thoughts to family discussions. These questions will also be included in both our weekly student ministries email, for parents to access and utilize, and in the sermon notes provided in the weekend sermon.

The Gospel Project will also help to strengthen students’ own identity and faith in God. With The Gospel Project as an aid, we hope students see that they can live missional lives and lead many others to the love and grace of God: friends at school, friends in their neighborhood, people they might work with, teammates, etc.  We in Student Ministry look forward to peeling back the layers of The Gospel Project with your students.

Just like the past two weeks, please look for our team at the Ministry Wall before and after services to ask questions and ready yourself for the launch of the Gospel Project!
