The Gospel Project 101
This month as we close out summer, we begin to ramp up to the fall kickoff of our ministry initiatives. One of the biggest things to be launched this fall is The Gospel Project. During August, we’ll preview the ins, the outs and how to’s of The Gospel Project.
By now you have likely heard mention of The Gospel Project, a three-year chronological study of the bible. The Gospel Project will equip us to study the story of God through many biblical stories, themes, and concepts across all ministry areas: weekend services, children’s ministry, student ministry, and adult small groups. It’s a key component to our initiative to Bring The Story of God to Life for the next generation.
Each weekend this month we will highlight a different ministry area and how the gospel project will be utilized in that ministry area. The goal is to provide a bit of a “Gospel Project 101” throughout the month to familiarize you with how you will be able to take the teaching you receive in here into your own life, into your family, conversations with your children and students, and into your small groups.
In addition, our Family and Discipleship Team has taken over the Ministry Wall this month! All month, you’ll find the members of our team at the Ministry Wall. Please stop by, ask questions and become informed and ready for the launch of the Gospel Project in September.

Meet and pray for a family in China
In China, the institution of family is under great stress. A group of House Churches in China will be having a family retreat August 26-28 with about 50 families attending. Each family attending would like a family here to pray for them, up to and during the retreat – and they would like to pray for you! If you would like to pray for one of these families, please email Kevin Johnson at kevindawn@comcast.net. You will receive detailed instructions on how to participate. Once families have been paired up, you will receive a picture of your family in China.
