Is your child asking about baptism?
Tree House Children’s Ministry is hosting a class for any children who are interested in learning more about baptism. Elementary children and their parents/guardians are invited to attend this class on December 11, 9:15, in room 105. Attending the class will help you learn more about this important milestone in your child’s faith journey, but attending will not commit you to getting baptized. Please email Cindy Yarrington, cyarrington@fiveoakschurch.org with number of people attending by December 7.

Kids Hope USA giving tree: You still have time!
A huge thank you to all those of you who partnered with Kids Hope USA to support and bless a student at Woodbury Elementary this Christmas. We had such an overwhelmingly positive response last weekend that all the gift tags were taken! Our Kids Hope volunteers made a plea to Woodbury Elementary, however, and the staff was able to put forth 13 more gift ideas for the tree. So if you missed out last week, you can still help out this weekend. Please return the gift and the tag from the tree to the Info Center at Five Oaks by December 11. As always, we welcome new mentors for these kids in need at Woodbury Elementary. Please email khusa@fiveoakschurch.org with questions about mentorship.

Find your serving ‘zone’
If you already serve in some capacity at Five Oaks, you know when it’s the right fit: you grow in this role, and our church body benefits from that contagiousness. When you serve, it’s because of you that we can bring the story of God to life each week.
Finding the right serving fit may mean you try a few areas on for size — that’s OK! If you are looking to start serving but aren’t sure where to serve, consider trying out a new serving role or ministry for Christmas. We always need extra hands and hearts at Christmas time with several additional worship services. Another great way to help at Christmas time is to consider serving in a new area with your whole family, or with your small group.
This weekend at Five Oaks you may pick up a SERVE brochure at the Information Center. You may fill that out and drop it in the offering box on your way out of the Worship Center. Or you may email Jennifer Clemens, our Serve Coordinator, at jclemens@fiveoakschurch.org. She will contact you and walk you through the process to begin serving at Five Oaks.
