Meet the deBruyn family this weekend

Dennis and Nicole deBruyn, Reach Global workers in Berlin, will visit with us during and after our weekend services. They will be sharing with us about their work in Berlin, which includes planting, leadership development, and neighborhood outreach in this strategic, multicultural city.  We look forward to the opportunity to meet them in the Commons to learn more about their ministry. Please stop by the Ministry Cart and introduce yourself! This is a great chance to see how God is at work in Berlin.

Got a hammer? Love to help?
Our fifth annual Hearts & Hammers event is right around the corner! Join the 60+ people who come together to restore a home and touch the life of a senior who is no longer able to do it financially and/or physically. We'll provide a fresh coat of exterior paint and a low-maintenance landscape transformation. Men, women and kids ages 12 and up are welcome to help; no special skills required. Saturday, September 23. To learn more and to register, please click here

Marriage and Chick-fil-A?
Men, if your marriage is perfect, do not come to the Journeymen kick-off breakfast. If not, sign-up in the Commons this weekend. We will be joined by the director of Chick-Fil-A’s WinShape Marriage, Dr. Matt Turvey. Dr. Turvey has counseled marriages around the world and is flying in from Atlanta to speak into the lives of our men. Saturday, September 9, at 8 am. Cost: $3. You don’t want to miss this!

Coming this fall: Challenge Silent Auction
This October in Five Oaks Students we will be holding our Challenge Silent Auction. At the Challenge Conference students will get the opportunity to learn and hear from amazing speakers, worship with talented worship artists, hang out with each other and their leader, serve the community, and spend time learning about and connecting with Jesus. In order to make this trip happen, we hold the Student Challenge Silent Auction. This year we are seeking donations for the auction. These donations can include stays at cabins, sport team tickets, hotel stays, auto/home repairs, unique experiences like fishing, activities for families, electronics, etc. We would also like to partner with our local Five Oaks businesses to include in the silent auction. If you have an item you would like to donate please email Martha at myoung@fiveoakschurch.org. We appreciate your support!
