A peek at what's to come for Global Missions weekend next weekend
We know many corners of the world need to hear the Gospel. On June 9/10 we’ll explore global missions at Five Oaks. Come ready to learn more when we’ll hear from Kevin Kompelien, president of the EFCA. We’ll also get details from ReachGlobal, the global missions arm of the EFCA, on ways to become engaged in global missions, including praying, giving ... and going. You’ll learn ways to respond to that nudge from the Holy Spirit to do more both locally and “glocally” -- that is, ways to serve the world without leaving the US. Questions? Summer is coming, but nothing slows down in Five Oaks Kids! If you are available this summer and you love kids, please consider volunteering on 1, 2, or several weekends to help in any classroom. Your smile and love for kids could help even one child fall in love with Jesus. Please write “Tree House summer help” and your email on your communication card. Our kids thank you!
Women: last call to register for our summer study
It’s hard to be intentional during the summer. Join us for a refreshing look this summer at how to integrate exciting, life-giving, Jesus-seeking rhythms into our lives. This women’s study meets Wednesdays 9:30-11:30 am at Five Oaks. June 6 - July 25 (no class June 13 or July 4). Write “Women’s summer study” and your email on your communication card to register. VBSquad is back!
Hey middle and high schoolers, want to make a difference in the lives of some really fun kids this summer? Join us for the VBSquad June 11-15, during and after Vacation Bible School. We have many different serving roles, including helping kids have fun and learn about Jesus, and helping the adults with clean-up and reset each day after VBS ends. Students: Fight that summer “meh” feeling …come hang with us!
June 20: Game Night at Five Oaks — Bring your favorite board game or group game — we’ll play all kinds! Gym will also be open for gaga ball and 9-high tournaments.
June 27: Worship night — Join us as we worship together in preparation for our Challenge trip
July 11: Talks’ going away par-tay — Come hang out with us as we celebrate Justin, Katie and Cole. We’ll play Justin’s top group games, eat his top foods, and spend time together before they head to Virginia. Oh — and CAKE!
July 25: Poolside movie night — Popcorn, snacks, a movie…all by the side of the “pool” at Five Oaks. Bring your favorite pool or lake float to lounge on as we hang in the “pool.”

If you’re new here, you may wonder how best to get connected. We have a simple first step, called Pizza with the Pastor. This one-hour lunch with Pastor Henry will allow you to ask any questions about Five Oaks and get you started connecting with others at our church. FREE childcare and a FREE pizza and salad lunch. If you ordered a Five Oaks SERVE t-shirt, please stop by the Information Desk this weekend for pick-up. These free shirts are for all volunteers who serve at Five Oaks. If you didn’t order a green SERVE t-shirt, we have a few extras that will be given away first-come, first-served. Stop by the Information Desk for details. Get your green on!
Got questions about salvation or baptism?
Not sure how to answer your kids’ questions about salvation and/or baptism? Maybe you have some questions of your own. Kids and parents are welcome to join us on June 24th at 9:00 in room 101 as we help guide family conversations on these big questions.
