Students: Let’s make a difference this summer!

Five Oaks Students and the Union Gospel Mission are partnering together on Wednesday, June 26, 6-8 pm at Five Oaks, to assemble bags for you and your family to have in your car, ready to give to people in need this summer. Click here to get the full list of supplies needed for the bags, and please drop supplies off at church before June 26.  Five Oaks Students also invites the ENTIRE family to join us at Union Gospel Mission on July 24 to serve meals to people in need. We are meeting at the UGM facility at 4:50 and serving food from 5-7 pm. This is a free event, but please click here to register on Realm. Both are opportunities to make a difference right here in St. Paul!  Questions? Please message Henry Michael on Realm, or click here to email him.

Membership class this Sunday
Membership is important at Five Oaks. It’s a way of saying, “I want to be part of the mission of this local church.”  If you have a personal relationship with Christ and have completed Story of God (the class or in your small group), make plans to come to the next membership class on June 23, 9 am, in room 102. Hope to see you there!

We all need a mentor
As growing Christ followers, we all step through seasons of needing someone to mentor us, someone who’s walked the path before us and gained wisdom in facing life’s challenges. We have mentoring programs for both men and women. These programs both run September-May. Interested in applying to be mentored, or have additional questions? Please click here to email Jonathan Haage.

School’s out.  Need a lifeline yet?
As our rhythms change in summer, what are some ways to stay connected with God? Subscribe to our audio podcast on iTunes to stay current with our sermons, subscribe to our DailyLife emails for easy ways to connect with God every day, and download the Parent Cue app for God-centered advice to connect with your kids. 141 impact journey opportunities completed!
Thank you! Since the launch of the Impact Journey challenge in March, Five Oakers have completed 99 “Ready,” 25 “Set,” and 17 “Go” events.  “Ready” is giving, “Set” is initial engagement, and “Go” is ongoing ministry. We can help you on the Impact Journey – a mission to the needy, the vulnerable, the foreigner, and those who have never heard the gospel.  If you aren’t involved but want to be, pick up a passport at the Impact Center.

Are you going to the cabin?
Although it would be nice to move to the lake for the summer, most of us must keep our “day job” and put food on the table back home. If you’re in town on the weekends this summer, we’d love your help in Five Oaks Kids! Even just 1-2 weekends will help our team! Please click here to email Kelly Bauman if you are available for one weekend or more.

Bring on the fun this summer
Many of our small groups have more socials, BBQ’s and even boating or camping trips in the summer, so you can easily meet some new friends at these small group events. It’s a great time to meet some new people and enjoy the summer weather. Our small group leaders will let you know exactly what to expect for their socials, and they always know you might try another group or two before deciding. Interested in finding a group? Click here to email Jonathan Haage, and he will help you start that process.
