Try out a small group (or two!) this summer
Many of our small groups move to a less structured rhythm in the summer. If you’ve not joined a small group before, or you need to re-join after a break, summer is a great time to “try on” a few different small groups to find a good fit. Lots of groups have more socials, BBQ’s and even boating or camping trips in the summer, so you can easily meet lots of new people at various events. (Maybe choose the group with the best beef brisket to join in the fall!) Interested in finding a group? This one-hour lunch with Pastor Henry will allow you to ask any questions about Five Oaks and get you started connecting with others. FREE childcare and a FREE pizza and salad lunch. Summer will feel more summery when you offer up your gift of service in Five Oaks Kids on the weekends. Even just 1-2 weekends will help our team and make those kids smile. Cuba construction & ESL teams needed (Impact Passport “GO” Opportunity)
Have you ever felt frustrated about what is going on in the world, yet helpless to do anything about it? Creating change is within your reach. God is moving powerfully in Cuba, and we can help you go! Provide practical help to ministry leaders by joining the Construction Team October 3-12. We will also have ESL opportunities on this trip! Middle schoolers: Camp registration closing soon!
Middle schoolers can expect with big fun (night games, swimming, hang time with friends) plus a time to slow down without technology and encounter God at Middle School Getaway Camp. Ready-Set-Go! Where is Jesus taking you? (Will you text me a reminder, please?)
On Impact Weekend in March we introduced the Impact Journey, and 200 of you picked up Impact Journey Passports filled with great Impact ideas. Many of you are making good progress! If you didn’t get a Passport, you can pick one up at the Impact Center. We want to help you and your family create change and share Christ’s love on this journey, and we know that time is tight for many families. With all of the other commitments we all shoulder, it’s hard to fit in “one more thing.” If you’d like to receive text reminders from Five Oaks Church for upcoming Ready-Set-Go Passport opportunities, please text ‘fiveoaksimpact’ to 555-888. We’ll send you reminders of dates and times that you can add to your calendar as you have margin for them. Jesus promised to be with you always on this journey. Where might he be taking you next?
