Is my event canceled? Check Realm.
We have an easy way to stay up-to-date on all things Five Oaks: our online communication tool, called Realm. Realm is where you’ll find the Five Oaks master calendar, set up online giving, find out if the latest storm has forced us to cancel, register for any church event, and more. If you aren’t connected on Realm yet, please click here to request an invitation. We’ll send you an email invite to register. Once registered, you can use Realm online or download the Realm Connect app on your mobile device. You’ll also be able to manage your own privacy and communication settings to tailor Realm to best serve your needs.
Does Easter come and go too quickly?
Be intentional about taking time to prepare your heart for Easter. Join us at our Lent services as we take a closer look at Jesus’ journey to the cross. We’ll look at Old Testament prophecies fulfilled in Jesus and dive into six questions that Jesus asked during his ministry. Join us for Lent services on Thursday mornings, now through April 11 at 6:30 am. Coffee and Lent journals provided! Connect online if you can’t make it!
Cuba short-term trip info meetings in March
Most of you got to meet or hear from our visitors from Cuba on Missions Weekend regarding the powerful things God is doing in Cuba. Many of you also indicated an interest in learning how you can engage in short-term missions in Cuba. Join us for follow-up meetings in room 102: March 16, 5:45 pm; March 17, 12:15 pm; or March 24, 10:15 am. Questions? Email impact@fiveoakschurch.org.
Roar into VBS: Preview the fun in March!
Minnesota winters can get long, but soon we’ll be wearing shorts and staying cool at our Roar Vacation Bible School, June 10-13! Kids will embark on an African adventure and learn that God is always with them! Kids, join us in Five Oaks Kids March 23+24 to get a sneak peek of our Roar VBS! Bring your friends to church with you that weekend – and tell your parents to mark calendars now: registration for VBS opens March 31.
The Bible tells one big story
One overarching story is woven throughout the entire Bible. This overarching story affects how we read our Bible and understand God working in our lives. When you can see the big picture message of the Bible, it will kick-start the effectiveness of your time spent reading the Bible and sharing that with others around you. A new Story of God class begins on March 24! Click here for more info or to register.
You’ve got game. Lend us a hand?
Our 5th Annual Game Café -- March 29 – is a blast each year. We’re still looking for some help to pull it all off. Many volunteer roles are available! We especially need you in the last half of the night, including supervising inflatables and various clean-up roles. (Little known fact: the clean-up crew, which works from 9 til 10, is one of the rowdiest roles there is.) If you can spare a square of your time and talent, click here to sign up for a role. Questions? Email Pam Hawley, phawley@fiveoakschurch.org or message her on Realm. If you bring in games & puzzles to loan us for this event, please label them and drop them off at church at the GAMES table by the ministry cart.
