You’ve got game. Lend us a hand?

Our 5th Annual Game Café is right around the corner on March 29… and we need your help to make this event a blast! Our volunteer needs include: Loaning board games or puzzles, donating cookies or bars, serving dinner, helping with set-up or tear-down, popping popcorn, supervising an inflatable, running Bingo, doing puzzles or taking pictures!  If you can spare a square of your time and talent, click here to sign up for a role.  Questions? Email Pam Hawley, phawley@fiveoakschurch.org or message her on Realm. When you bring in games & puzzles to loan us for this event, you may label them and drop them off at church at the GAMES table by the ministry cart.

Does Easter come and go too quickly?
Be intentional about taking time to prepare your heart for Easter. Join us for Lent services as we reflect on six questions that Jesus asked during his ministry. We'll discover how those questions are an invitation for each of us to move into a deeper, more fulfilling life in Christ.

Enjoy bottomless coffee and engage in scripture and prayer as we take a closer look at Jesus’ journey to the cross.

Lent services run Thursday mornings, now through April 11 at 6:30 am. Coffee and Lent journals provided! New this year: if you cannot make it, you'll be able to access the message and the worship guide online afterward.

Roar into VBS: Preview the fun in March!
Minnesota winters can get long, but soon we’ll be wearing shorts and staying cool at our Roar Vacation Bible School, June 10-13!  Kids will embark on an African adventure and learn that God is always with them! Kids, join us in Five Oaks Kids March 23+24 and get a sneak peek of our Roar VBS! Bring your friends to church with you that weekend -- and tell your parents to mark calendars now: registration for VBS opens March 31.

The Bible tells one big story
One overarching story is woven throughout the entire Bible. This overarching story affects how we read our Bible and how we understand God working in our lives. When you can see the big picture message of the Bible, it will kick-start the effectiveness of your time spent reading the Bible and sharing that with others around you. New Story of God classes begin in March! Click here to begin the registration process.

Middle schoolers: A don’t-miss tradition is calling you
Middle schoolers! District Blitz, April 12-14, is coming up fast: a road trip to Duluth, inspiring & energetic speakers, worship, hang time with friends and leaders, and great discussions. Space is limited & early registration ends March 27. Register on Realm. Questions? Email Henry Michael at henrymw@fiveoakschurch.org.

Loving your world -- Middle East, Haiti, Cuba
Ever felt frustrated about what’s going on in the world, yet helpless to do anything about it? Creating change is within your reach. God is at work in the Middle East, Haiti, and Cuba, and we can help you go! Current Five Oakers who have served there will host info meetings soon. Visualize working with thriving ministries that can use almost any skill that you have. Interested? Email impact@fiveoakschurch.org.

Use your gifts to serve students
Is youth ministry intimidating to you? Or maybe you want to serve but aren’t sure how?? We have many ways to get involved weekly, monthly, and even annually! We have dozens of leaders each week discipling students, preparing food for leaders and students, helping out with camps and retreats, even helping set up and tear down! Email Henry Michael, henrymw@fiveoakschurch.org, to find out how you can jump in.

Loving the next generation
We know that you want the next generation to fall in love with the word of God, but you may be overwhelmed at the idea of large classes or committing to serving on a regular basis. Five Oaks Kids is looking for more people to serve on Saturday nights (when numbers tend to not be overwhelming) or on the sub list. If you are interested in any of these, please email Kelly Bauman, kbauman@fiveoakschurch.org.
