Students: Let's stay connected this summer
Summer can feel strange for families as they balance the pull of too much or too little to do. Our Five Oaks Students summer programming, on Wednesday nights in June & July, will help keep students connected to each other and to their faith journey while still enjoying summer’s downtime.
At Middle School Getaway Camp, June 27-30 at Camp Arrowhead, middle schoolers can expect with big fun, plus a time to slow down without technology and encounter God. Family Worship this weekend
On the weekend of May 25+26, we will have a Family Worship Weekend. Kids in grades 1-5 will join their parents in regular family worship. Activity bags and books will be available for families who would like to use them during the service.

Do people compliment the way you make any setting more beautiful? If so, join our new Five Oaks Decor team! This team will volunteer four times a year - Fall, Christmas, Easter and Summer - to transform our outdoor and indoor commons spaces. Our first meeting will be May 29, 5:30-6:30 pm, dinner included. Ever wish you could stop time? Final Parenting Journey Class on Wednesday
For families, summer is a change of pace between the phase you’re in and the one that’s coming next. We want to help you make the most of the time you have this summer to connect as a family and move forward together. Join us for our High School Parenting Journey Classes on May 29, 6:30-7:30 pm at Jerry’s Foods. We’ll explore the social, emotional, physical, and developmental needs of your teenagers so you can have more meaningful connection as a family. This class is free! VBS & summer will be better with you!
Summer will feel more summery when you volunteer at ROAR Vacation Bible School, June 10-13. Your commitment? 8:45 am-12:15 pm, any or all of days. Or, we could use your help over the summer in Five Oaks Kids on the weekends. Even just 1-2 weekends will help our team and make those kids smile. On Impact Weekend in March we introduced the Impact Journey, and 200 of you picked up Impact Journey Passports filled with great Impact ideas. Many of you are making good progress! If you didn’t get a Passport, you can pick one up at the Impact Center. We want to help you and your family create change and share Christ’s love on this journey, and we know that time is tight for many families. With all of the other commitments we all shoulder, it’s hard to fit in “one more thing.” If you’d like to receive text reminders from Five Oaks Church for upcoming Ready-Set-Go Passport opportunities, please text ‘fiveoaksimpact’ to 555-888. We’ll send you reminders of dates and times that you can add to your calendar as you have margin for them. Jesus promised to be with you always on this journey. Where might he be taking you next?
