Family Worship Night: Bring the kids AND the neighbors
Fall is a busy season! When life feels crowded it can be difficult to take time to be filled spiritually. We’re making space for all ages to gather in community and experience the joy and the fullness of God through extended worship. Bring your whole family and join us for Family Worship Night on November 8, 6:30-8 pm. We’ll worship together while experiencing a variety of musical styles, an open space where kids and grown-ups can move with freedom, and response stations for all ages that will be open throughout the evening. Family friendly! Invite your friends and neighbors!
Loving your city: Kids Hope USA (Impact passport “GO” opportunity)
Too many students stand just one caring adult relationship away from thriving in school and in life. Could you be that adult? As a Kids Hope mentor, you would spend one hour at Woodbury Elementary School with one student once a week – it’s simple, and it’s life-changing. Interested in getting involved, or at least asking a few more questions? Email khusa@fiveoakschurch.org.
Preparing your high schooler for what's next!
One of the hardest and most confusing times for both parents and teenagers is preparing for life after high school. Big questions come almost daily, which is why this is such an important step in the discipleship journey! Join us on Sunday, October 27 for a class that helps prepare you and your student to launch into the next phase of life. We are also excited to introduce a new experience called Encircled that focuses on students being surrounded by a group of adults that help them on this important journey. This class is open to students in 10-12th grade and their parents or guardians. Click here to register today!
Is baptism your next step?
Baptism is an outward expression of an inward change. It’s a public declaration of how Jesus is changing your life from the inside out. Your being baptized shows others that you’ve decided to follow Jesus and allows everyone to celebrate this decision with you! Interested? Click here to email Jonathan Haage, or message Jonathan on Realm. Our next baptisms are Nov. 9+10 during all worship services.

Calling all adoptive and foster moms!
Welcome to Embrace-Woodbury South! At Embrace, you’ll meet other moms who are on a similar adoption/foster journey. You’ll experience spiritual, emotional, and practical support for adoptive, foster, and ‘waiting’ moms. We will also make time to learn more about caring for our vulnerable children, along with learning to better care for ourselves and our families as a whole. We meet in room 105 on the second Thursday of each month, 6:30-8 pm. Questions? Please email Tammy Placzek at the_plaz@comcast.net.

Wedding news
Congratulations to Mike and Joy Livingston, as they celebrated their wedding on October 5. Please join us in praying for them as they begin their married life together. They say that the theme for their wedding was “immeasurably more” as they feel the abundance of God’s blessing beyond what they imagined.
In sympathy
Please join us as we pray for Dan and Alissa Ellingson and family. They are mourning the loss of Dan’s father.
