Get out your calendar, and set a reminder for yourself that next Sunday, August 9, all three of our worship options will begin at 9 am.
In-person worship will start at 9 am in the worship center. You may check in for this service at the Welcome Center starting at 8:45. This worship service will require an advance online RSVP.
Our brand-new Five Oaks Kids Family Experience will also start at 9 am in the gym. You may check in for this experience at the Welcome Center starting at 8:45. This all-new worship opportunity will provide families with the chance to worship together and experience the content, activities, and lesson videos that your kids experience from the Orange curriculum. Remember that this is an additional option for families with kids ages pre-K through grade 5. If you prefer to take your family to our in-person worship service in the worship center, that’s just fine! The Five Oaks Kids Family Experience will require an advance online RSVP.
Our online service will start at 9 am. We are pivoting from the Five Oaks at Home format to a live stream of the in-person worship service. This service will still contain several of the elements from Five Oaks at Home that we’ve all grown to love, such as the F.O.G. and prayers of the people. Note: The online service will also be available on demand afterward, so if 9 am doesn’t work for you, you may watch the worship service later on when it fits your schedule!

Blessing a foster family just got easier
Five Oaks has partnered with Washington County to provide meals to foster families. We know that fostering extra children is a big job, one that doesn't end when the workday ends. By helping provide supplemental meals, we are blessing these foster parents with one less thing to think about during their already full days of parenting and managing a home.
We currently have three small groups, comprised of 44 individuals, who are actively participating in meal teams. Some of the receiving foster families are Five Oakers; others are not.
This ministry is an easy way for you to invest in the lives of families who are standing in the gap for vulnerable children. By joining a team, you simply provide a store-bought meal to a foster family about once every other month. If you love this idea but are short on time, all you have to do is add an extra meal to your grocery run. You can look for items that require little to no preparation, as foster families appreciate easy and convenient, too.

On May 20, one of the most powerful cyclones on record, cyclone Amphan, hit India in an impoverished area where one of our partners, Global Fingerprints, is working. The lack of power and extensive flooding have slowed initial relief efforts, so their local needs are many and palpable.
