Live stream: Our newest worship option

Our live stream experience promises to be a viable way to connect with your Five Oaks community while we’re apart. If you watch the live stream at 9 am on Sundays from home, you’ll be able to interact with staff and volunteers through our live chat feature, ask for real-time prayer, submit your communication card, and chat with others who are also watching the service live. If you’re traveling some weekend, or not attending our in-person services, the live stream will help you feel connected from a distance! Check it out through our website (www.fiveoaks.church) any Sunday at 9 am! The live stream will be available to watch on demand after the service ends each week as well.

We want to hear your opinion!

Five Oaks Kids recently sent out a survey to our Five Oaks Kids Families and volunteers. The data that we receive from this survey will be vital as we plan for our next steps with Five Oaks Kids. If you received the survey, please take a few minutes to answer the three questions. If you didn’t receive it and would like to take the survey, please email Kelly Bauman at kbauman@fiveoakschurch.org. She will send you the survey link.

Growing your faith in college

As a college student do you feel intimidated by the challenges to your faith that may confront you when you step onto campus?  These next few years will determine not only who you want to be, but also who you are in Christ. At Five Oaks we want to help you deepen your walk of faith in college. Two of the largest college ministries across the US are the Salt Company and Cru. Their mission is to help people know, love and follow Jesus. To connect with students from Five Oaks with personal experience with these organizations email impact@fiveoakschurch.org. To learn more about the Salt Company and Cru visit https://thesaltnetwork.com or https://www.cru.org/.

Small groups: The #1 way to connect with others

For all of us, this season of life has made clear our need for connecting with others, and technology has provided many new options. We want to help you get connected with others. We have in-person, online, and hybrid small groups meeting every day of the week. Please go to fiveoaks.church/small-groups to register for a group starting this fall!

What is the Five Oaks Kids Family Experience?

If you’re considering participating our Five Oaks Kids Family Experience this Sunday at 9 am in the gym, you may be wondering what to expect. Since it’s so new, here's a rundown of what it looks like.

Each week as families enter the gym, they’ll pick up their supplies and head to a table to sit together. After our welcome and announcements, we’ll start with a family activity or challenge to work on together with your family. We’ll then have a time of worship followed by the elementary video lesson from our amazing Orange curriculum. After that video, families will discuss what they learned using some guided questions, and then we’ll move into a craft time. During craft time, we’ll watch the pre-K lesson video. After that, families will experience communion together, and we’ll part ways with our benediction.

Parents, we know you want to stay current with our in-person worship service. As always, you can catch our online service on demand, when it works for you, at www.fiveoaks.church/weekend-sermons. You also can listen to just the sermon anytime on our podcast, by following this link: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sermon-audio-five-oaks-church/id207309186

We’re looking forward to seeing some of our youngest Five Oakers (and their parents of course!) at our Family Experience! If you haven’t yet RSVP’ed for this weekend and would like to come, click here to do so now. Questions? Please email Kelly Bauman at kbauman@fiveoakschurch.org.

We need your help!
Since we have started meeting for in-person worship, we still need fantastic volunteers to make services run smoothly.

We know many of you have been asking how you can serve your community, and this is a great way to do just that. While you begin to join us in the building, would you consider serving when you’re here?

Help our partner in India after massive cyclone
On May 20, one of the most powerful cyclones on record, cyclone Amphan, hit India in an impoverished area where one of our partners, Global Fingerprints, is working. The lack of power and extensive flooding have slowed initial relief efforts, so their local needs are many and palpable. You may donate to provide food and needed supplies by clicking here: https://give.efca.org/form_8c38d5ed

$32.45 can change a life – Back to School Powerpacks
Want to make a difference during this time of urban strife? When you and allow our partner, Cru Inner City, to provide back-to school PowerPacks you’re creating outreach opportunities for inner-city churches to make an eternal difference for kids and their families.  Each PowerPack is packed with essential school supplies.  These bags provide each student an opportunity to hear the Good News of Jesus and build a connection with a local church body.
