A new way to connect in real time

We know that feeling connected when we're apart is a challenge. For that reason, we're excited to soon launch our new online church platform, a platform that will allow you to view our worship services online while participating in a live chat. This platform will allow you to chat with our staff hosts, ask for prayer in a private chat, fill out your communication card, ask questions about the sermon, and even say hi to church friends who are worshipping at their home, too.

You'll be able to access this online church platform through our website, just like you normally would, beginning June 14 at 9 am. Questions in the meantime? Please email office@fiveoakschurch.org.

Ways to help those affected by rioting

St. Paul Fellowship Church - Frogtown
What if you had no car, public transportation was suspended, and grocery stores were boarded up or destroyed? That is the current situation in the Frogtown-Midway Neighborhood. St. Paul Fellowship Church is providing food and essential items to this neighborhood. Donations can be made Wednesdays from 4-7 PM, or at other times by appointment. Address: 868 Sherburne Ave., St Paul, MN 55104. Phone 651-505-3669.

The One Fund
Kevin Walton, pastor of Bethany Baptist Church in Roseville and a former Five Oaks-supported missionary, has made us aware of “The One Fund,” established to come alongside African American Churches in the wake of COVID-19 – and now in the wake of recent riots. You can donate here:

Five Oaks Kids parade on June 7 — that’s this Sunday!
It's been a school year unlike any other, and to celebrate all the fun memories (and yes, a few hurdles) that your kids have rallied through, we're hosting a drive-through parade in our parking lot on June 7. Plan to show up anytime between 11:00-11:30 am. We can't wait to see you! Feel free to decorate your vehicle or make a sign with your kids' names on it so we can see them more easily! We'll have a goodie bag with treats and crafts for each child! Our teachers and volunteers miss you and look forward to seeing you face-to-face as you parade on through! Questions? Please email Kelly Bauman, kbauman@fiveoakschurch.org.

VBS at Home: Share the news! (Registration closes soon!)
In a season when so many churches are canceling their traditional Vacation Bible School offerings, Five Oaks is excited to bring you the next best thing: Focus VBS, a virtual VBS that your kids can participate in safely from home!

Your preschoolers through preteens will have a blast as they discover how to trust in what they CAN’T see because of what they CAN see by putting the FOCUS on God and his amazing plan for us. We’ll use this week to explore four different ways we can FOCUS on God: Hear, Talk, Pray, and Live.

The fun takes place July 13-17. Each child will receive their own VBS-in-a-Box. Share the news with neighbors and friends whose kids are missing VBS this summer! Registration and more info on our website. Registration closes on June 15!

Missionaries need temporary summer housing
Do you, or someone you know, have a furnished apartment or mother-in-law suite available to lease this summer? We recently received a request from a couple who needs to return on short notice from their mission work in Asia. If you know of anything that can help these long-time missionaries, please contact office@fiveoakschurch.org.

Looking ahead: Five Oaks Guys’ Giveaway on social media
Hey Dudes and Dads! Father’s Day is just two weeks away, and to honor all of our dads, father figures, uncles, and guys who might look like dads, we’re hosting a giveaway on Facebook and Instagram. Every day during the week of June 15-19, we’ll hold a drawing for cool prizes that only dudes will dig. Between now and then, be sure to follow Five Oaks on Facebook and Instagram so you’re ready to enter our drawings each day.

Prayer works
As you move through your day, you likely have prayers and praises on your mind. We'd love to be able to pray and praise alongside you, from our homes to yours. We have volunteers, elders and staff who pray through your prayer requests throughout the week. Please click here to get started sharing what's on your mind.
