Global 6K for Clean Water: Bring your friends!
Our goal is to have 30 percent of our Global 6k Team from outside of Five Oaks. Why, you ask? It will give you an opportunity to invite your friends into what’s important to you. It will give those around you an opportunity to show compassion in a polarized world. Your participation keeps children from missing school and dying from dirty water. Each registration provides lasting clean water for one person FOR LIFE. The Global 6k is May 22 at 8 or 10 am at Colby Lake Park. What is Secret Church?
What if following Jesus were illegal where you live, which in turn meant you had to walk miles to find other believers? You’d likely spend hours together praying, worshiping, studying God’s Word. Secret Church simulates this reality for persecuted Christians. Join the national simulcast on Friday, April 23, 6 pm – 12 am, in the Acorn Commons as we worship, study, and pray for the persecuted Church. This year’s theme is The Great Imbalance. Interested? Vacation Bible School: Kids are priceless to God!
Your kids will want to join the fun at VBS, June 21-23, to learn how God knows, hears, comforts, and forgives us. To ease social distancing with this large event, we’re offering a choice of the morning (9:15-noon) or afternoon (1:15-4:00) session. VBS is open to children ages 3 years old by September 1, 2020 and potty trained, up through third grade. Register now at www.fiveoakschurch/vbs. Middle school: Camp Getaway is coming soon!
We’re getting more excited for Camp Getaway as the weather warms up! We don’t want your middle schooler to miss out! At camp, June 8-13, your student will learn about Jesus, the gospel and how it impacts their story. We’ll have loads of fun, create lasting memories, make and deepen friendships, and have an action-packed week for six days at Camp Arrowhead!
