Weekend of August 7+8

Family Ministry Launch Event: Important info from each of our ministries

Join us on September 1, 7-8:30 pm.

We’re getting ready to kick off a great year of ministry, and we want to give you a sneak peek into all that lies ahead for your family. At this year’s Family Ministry Launch Event, you’ll experience three things to help you prepare for the coming year of Family Ministry at Five Oaks:

  • You’ll receive materials and a calendar full of key dates and details.

  • You’ll hear from each of our ministry leaders about what’s new and what to expect in their ministries.

  • Lastly, for the first time ever, we’re going to preview a powerful sermon series we will experience this year in our weekend services and in our student ministry.

Oh - and we'll have childcare available - and ice cream and other frozen treats for all involved!

Registration will be open soon on Realm!

Village Schools of the Bible is back!

The Bible tells one story, and we help our community see that in a six-week class called the Story of God. But, there is an incredible way to go deeper, and it’s a class called Village Schools of the Bible. This class will look at the one story from Genesis to Revelation and dig into it thoroughly over the ministry year from September through May. We will be hosting it at the church on Tuesday evenings starting this September. For more information, go to fiveoaks.church/village.

A store-bought meal can bridge an important gap
Would you like a simple way to help a foster family in Washington County? Simply purchase a store-bought ready-to-prepare meal and deliver it to a foster family about once per month. What starts out as a simple drop-off gesture can be a gateway for new friendships and possibly even some meaningful conversations down the road. Interested in more info or getting involved?  Text Juli Servatius at 651-206-9034 or email impact@fiveoakschurch.org.

“Go Into All the World, and take your job with you” — IT opening in Vietnam
From one of our Impact partners: “Our recruiting firm recently opened an office in Hanoi and quickly partnered with a like-minded company in the country, a fast-growing IT company with an intentionally run management team. They are located in Da Nang and asked us to help them find an intentional leader to expand their team.” Interested? Email impact@fiveoakschurch.org for more info.
