Vacation Bible School: Kids are priceless to God!

This week we celebrated all the great things about VBS that we missed out on in 2020: playing games outside and in the gym, listening to the Bible story read by people in Bible costumes, eating our themed snack together, and making new friends at church. Between the morning and the afternoon sessions, over 150 kids learned that they are priceless to God. Over 100 volunteers helped teach, build the set, make the snacks, lead the games, and create the meaningful lessons that kids learned. This year our impact project was World Vision. Kids brought in their own money to donate to the important cause of bringing clean water to places in the world that don’t otherwise have access to it.

Praise God for all these things, and please join us in prayer that the truths kids learned this week will take root in their hearts for life change.

Make the most of those parenting moments this summer
Summer is a great time to be intentional about connecting as a family. Our Family Discipleship Team is delivering a short video to your inbox each Sunday afternoon in June, and in these videos we’re covering the five essential rhythms for families to thrive together. This week we’re focusing on the rhythms of work and rest. Even though this is week #4, you can access any or all of the previous videos and resources on our website: www.fiveoaks.church/family.

Your willing hands and smile will go a long way this summer
It’s hard to believe that June is nearly behind us! Many of our regular Five Oaks Kids volunteers have travel plans this summer, which means we’d love any help you can offer up on any given weekend. Our staff does most of the teaching, but we’d love your help to just have fun with the kids, help them with crafts, games, and group discussions. Interested? FCA Camp is coming to Five Oaks!
Students finishing 4th to 7th grade are going to have a blast
at FCA Camp this summer, July 6-9, playing games, learning new sports and discovering how we can PURSUE Jesus in all that we do–school, family, sports and play. This camp is for kids who love sports or who just love to move around. It’s highly interactive with the same station style as VBS. Campers will get an FCA t-shirt and Bible, and a snack each day. Bring a water bottle and come ready to play outside! Click here to register now in Realm. Questions? Email Kyler Albert, kalbert@fiveoakschurch.org.

FCA camp needs volunteers ages 14 through 99
Help make our FCA Camp an unforgettable week for kids by volunteering in a variety of ways: Station leader, huddle (group) leader, snack team, safety team or check-in team. You don’t need a sports background, just a love for Jesus and students. July 6-9, volunteer commitment is from 8 am to 12 noon. Registration for volunteers is open in Realm. Interested or have further questions? Email Kyler Albert,
kalbert@fiveoakschurch.org.

Will you add a couple of items to your grocery store run?
Could you and your family provide a store-bought meal once per month to a foster family in Washington County? We are looking for extra help with our Five Oaks Foster Family Meal Team. Your willingness to pick up and drop off an easy-prep meal for a foster family helps provide a basic need to these families who are standing in the gap for vulnerable children. Interested in this simple, once-per-month way to show the love of Christ to others? Text Juli Servatius at 651-206-9034 or email impact@fiveoakschurch.org.
