Weekend of November 13+14

Jingle Jam and Advent: Right around the corner!

Staying focused on Jesus during the chaotic Christmas season can be challenging. Join us as we shine his light this season at our Advent services. We will kick off with Jingle Jam (an interactive experience for everyone in your family) on November 28 at 4:30 pm. Click here to register for Jingle Jam. Other Advent services will be on December 5, 12, and 19 – all at 4:30 pm. Every service is family-friendly and each week we’ll have interactive activities for families following the Advent services. We hope to see you there!

Help us feed needy families this Thanksgiving!
We’ve set a goal to provide 275 Thanksgiving bags for those in need, partnering with the Union Gospel Mission. It only costs $25 to provide a Thanksgiving bag to one family in need! $50 for two, and so on. Help us meet our goal and bless our neighbors in St. Paul! Donate and find other ways to help here. Questions? Email our Impact Team.

Do you love to decorate for Christmas?
If you have a keen eye for decorating or visualizing a new look in a room, please join our Decor Team as we transform Five Oaks from autumn to Christmas-ready! We’ll meet Saturday, November 20, 9 am-noon at Five Oaks. We’d love your help, and we’re providing lunch! Interested? Register here.

We’re celebrating faith milestones next weekend!
Isn’t it awesome when we can come together as a family and celebrate all that God is doing? Join us next weekend, November 20+21, as we do just that. We will be celebrating Family Dedications along with many baptisms. Elementary kids will join their parents in the worship center (instead of going to Five Oaks Kids) for this entirely family-friendly service. We hope to see you for the party!

Winning the war in your mind (Journeymen)
Starting November 27,
our men’s ministry will be starting a series called “Winning the War in Your Mind” by renowned pastor and author, Craig Groeschel. Pastor Craig says this: “Are your thoughts out of control, just like your life? Do you long to break free from the spiral of destructive thinking? Let God’s truth become your battle plan to win the war in your mind!” You will not want to miss this series!
Email Journeymen to get a registration link.

DailyLife devotional writers needed!
Do you have a writing talent you’d like to use to shepherd others and glorify God? Are your red markup pens always at the ready? Or have you simply been blessed by our DailyLife Devotionals and would like to be a blessing in turn? If so, we invite you to write for our DailyLife Devotional team! Interested? Email Danny Martin.

The Giving Tree is coming back!
Remember the joy of opening a Christmas gift that you weren’t expecting to receive? You can help bring that joy to kids and families of Woodbury Elementary School who are struggling financially. Our Kids Hope Giving Tree returns to Five Oaks starting November 27! You’ll be able to choose a tag from the tree, shop for that item/gift card and bring it back wrapped by December 12! Email our Kids Hope Team with any questions.
