Weekend of November 20+21

We’re celebrating this weekend!

Our worship service will look and feel a little different from a typical week at Five Oaks. You may notice we have more visitors and more elementary-aged kids present in worship. This is because we’re celebrating the important faith milestones of family dedications and baptism this weekend. We love to watch God work in the hearts of our Five Oakers who are ready to publicly proclaim their salvation in Jesus by being baptized. We also love to watch our church grow as our families grow, and we are honored to join with families in dedicating babies and children to our local church and to Christ’s church.  Join us as we promise to come alongside these families in these important faith milestones. We praise God for the seeds he sows in our church family!

Union Gospel Mission: We need your help!

We’ve set a goal to provide 275 Thanksgiving bags for those in need, partnering with the Union Gospel Mission. It only costs $25 to provide a Thanksgiving bag to one family in need! $50 for two, and so on. Help us meet our goal and bless our neighbors in St. Paul! You may donate, and find other ways to help, by going to www.fiveoaks.church/ugm. Questions? Email impact@fiveoakschurch.org.

Jingle Jam and Advent: Merriment around the corner!
Staying focused on Jesus during the chaotic Christmas season can be challenging. Join us as we shine his light this season at our Advent services. We will kick off with Jingle Jam (an interactive experience for the whole family) on November 28 at 4:30 pm. Register for Jingle Jam here. Other Advent services will be on December 5, 12, and 19 – all at 4:30 pm. (No need to register for the DecemberWe’re Advent services.) Every service is family-friendly and each week we’ll have interactive activities for families following the service. See you there!

Ladies: Join us for Reindeer Games December 9
Remember how fun Christmas was as a kid? Games of Monopoly and Life with your siblings, that giant tin of three different kinds of popcorn, the comfort of a warm cocoa after playing in the snow, the wonder of opening that first gift. You do so much to make Christmas special for others. Recapture that carefree spirit and fill up your Merry Meter with friends, fun and food at The Warm & Cozy Reindeer Games. Join us on Thursday, December 9, 6:30-9 pm at Five Oaks. Register here.

Five Oaks Students: Two things you need to know...

Let God’s truth become your battle plan to win the war in your mind!” You will not want to miss this series!
Email Journeymen to get a registration link.

DailyLife devotional writers needed!
Do you have a writing talent you’d like to use to shepherd others and glorify God? Are your red markup pens always at the ready? Or have you simply been blessed by our DailyLife Devotionals and would like to be a blessing in turn? If so, we invite you to write for our DailyLife Devotional team! Interested? The Giving Tree is coming back!
Remember the joy of opening a Christmas gift that you weren’t expecting to receive? You can help bring that joy to kids and families of Woodbury Elementary School who are struggling financially.
