let’s celebrate the wins of VBS and FCA last week!
In case you missed it last week, our church walls were bulging with 260 kids and 150 volunteers each day with Stellar VBS in the mornings, and FCA Sports Camp in the afternoons. Kids enjoyed worship, crafts, games and all kinds of fun while they heard about the love of Jesus and God’s greatness. Please continue to pray that the seeds that were planted last week will grow and flourish. We also want to give a huge shout out to our amazing volunteers! Without the helpful hands and hearts of our teenagers and adults, we couldn’t have put together such impactful events for our Five Oaks kids and their friends! Our staff leaders agree that watching the church family come together to serve the next generation for the kingdom of God was a huge blessing. Thank you to all who served and for all the amazing stories of impact from the week.

Don’t come to church July 24-August 4
No, that’s not click bait. Yes, it’s rare that a church will discourage its people from showing up. Because of the parking lot resurfacing at Five Oaks Church, our building and parking lot will be completely inaccessible from July 24-August 4. This means we will not have any in-person worship services at Five Oaks July 29+30. Instead, look for a short online devotional from Pastor Henry at www.fiveoaks.church/sermons. Youth group: See you at the Bailey elementary fields
Due to the resurfacing of the parking lot, we won’t have access to the building for July 26 or August 2. We’re planning to move our time of connection and fun offiste to the fields at Bailey Elementary School for those dates. Bring some water and be ready for some games! Questions? Missionary prayer is this weekend! Join us as we pray for our missions partners between the services on July 23, 10:15-10:45 am, in Room 102. We’ll pray over specific requests sent from our local and global missionaries and missions partners. If this Sunday doesn’t work for you, we do it every month on the final Sunday. Questions? Interested in leading a small group this fall?
If you love people and want to provide a regular space for new folks to get connected, consider leading a small group this fall. We provide training and resources to get you going and ongoing connection and coaching as you lead a group. We have a fall training coming up at the end of August. Try it out for a season! Save the date: share a meal and learn more about Impact ministry
If God is stirring your heart for ways to impact our community and world for Jesus, please join us for our next Impact Cohort gathering. This cohort is an opportunity for Five Oakers who are leaning in on Impact to pray, share a meal, share updates, stories, plans and ideas - and brainstorm together on how we can do more for Jesus outside the walls of our church. Welcome baby!
Congratulations to Henry Michael and Holly Williams on the birth of their baby, Bonnie Elizabeth, born on July 14. Bonnie weighed 7 lbs, 5 oz. and was 20 inches long at birth. Mom and baby are both home and doing great!
