Did you know that in some countries, kids often walk 3+ miles each day to access dirty water, the only water they can find. Register now for summer camps with Five Oaks Students!
This summer we are giving a variety of opportunities for our students and our leaders to dive deeper into relationships and God’s Word through summer camp and FCA camp. We do this because the time spent in community and with godly adults in a week of camp equals an entire ministry year of Wednesday night programming. In the summer something huge takes place here at Five Oaks! The whole church is transformed into a place where kids of all ages come to engage and encounter God and his community in a life-changing way at Vacation Bible School (VBS) and Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) camp! VBS runs in the morning and FCA in the afternoon of July 10-13. VBS is open to current ages 3 years old through 3rd grade. FCA sports camp is open to current 4th - 7th grades. Connect through Pickleball!
As a community, we value having fun together and being active. One way we do that is by playing pickleball in our gym, and we have time slots almost every day of the week. Never played or a beginner? We have time slots for you. 55+? We have time slots for you. Women only? We have time slots for you. Interested in Story of God this summer?
Our Story of God class is a 6-week journey through the Bible. Taking this class will help you read the Bible with greater understanding and help you see how the Bible fits together to tell one big story. We’re currently gauging interest in the idea of a summer Story of God class at Five Oaks. If you would like to add your name to the list as being possibly interested, please click here. Supporting our Global Missionary Partners in the Middle East
One of the many challenges that our Global Missionary Partners face is the loneliness and sense of isolation that can come from leaving family and friends behind to serve Jesus in another country. Emails and Zoom calls can help, but it’s not the same as face-to-face contact and conversations. To that end, a group of Five Oakers will be traveling to the Middle East at the end of April, to connect with the missionaries we support there. The goals of the trip are to express support for these partners, to see and hear about the challenges they face, to pray with them, to seek out new ways we can support them, and to return with a revitalized passion and vision for loving and caring for these partners. As the Global 6K for Clean Water approaches on May 20, we need your help to make this event a success for both the communities across the world in need of clean water, and for all of the families who are participating in the event. We’re expecting lots of non-Five Oakers to walk, run, and stroll that day, some of whom have no idea how amazing the people of Five Oaks are. Let’s welcome all who show up that day!
