Each week, over 150 volunteers serve in a variety of ways, each helping to make Five Oaks a place where people feel welcomed and can connect with God. This weekend, we want to recognize and celebrate all who serve at Five Oaks: teens, adults, grandparents, and in some cases, entire families. Thank you for investing your time and talent in the kingdom of God. We’re celebrating with treats and a photo opp for all this weekend between services! Refine your path through radical mentoring
Have you ever been impacted by the wisdom and guidance of a mentor? Whether you have or not, we have all seen the power of a mentor in someone’s life for a season. Radical Mentoring is a great opportunity for you to be personally mentored to grow in your relationship with God and others. Many mentorships fail because of a lack of a mentor, or a lack of a defined start and end time, or a lack of a specific plan or roadmap. Radical Mentoring’s process, mixed with wise leaders in our church, addresses those problems head-on to allow you to engage for a 10-month season with a mentor and a small group. Summer in Journeymen
We all need men in our lives to help with the good, the bad, and everything in between. Guys, join us this summer for an inductive Bible study where you’ll learn a new approach to studying scripture with other men from all walks of life. Every other Saturday morning, 7-8:15 am. Raise your hand if you love the slower pace of summer! As life slows down in the warmer months, we have a schedule of Wednesday night youth groups between our camps and other trips. Mark your calendar now for June 19 & 26, July 24 & 31, and August 7 & 14 from 7-9 pm at church. All students are welcome who were in grades 6-12 during the 2023/24 school year. Questions? The beauty behind VBS
Do you think cutting paper for Jesus sounds like a party? (We do!) If you enjoy being creative, or simply have a heart to help, we invite you to join us on Sunday, June 30 at 1:00 in the gym. Interested in helping out? Please email Kelly Bauman so we have enough snacks. Creative and helpful kids are also welcome to attend with their parents! The more the merrier.
Our kids need you this summer!
Summertime in Minnesota is so beautiful! Many of our year-long volunteers will have different vacations and activities that make it difficult for them to serve in their regular roles in Five Oaks Kids. This opens up many opportunities for you to lend a helping hand and help out our current volunteers. Our staff does all the lesson preparation and set-up for you, so you can focus on connecting with kids. If you would like to spend an hour with the cutest Five Oakers of all this summer, please email Kelly Bauman.
Pray for Barb Hawn - Moms in Prayer trip to Mongolia|
As part of her ministry with Moms in Prayer, Five Oaker Barb Hawn will be traveling to Mongolia from June 15 to July 9. While in Mongolia, Barb will be working with Christian leaders in the country, engaging in education and discipleship training, focused on the power of prayer. She will be the key speaker at several two-day conferences, investing in leadership development for the Moms In Prayer leaders in Mongolia and encouraging pastors and women throughout the country. This year Barb will also be spending six days in some key new countryside cities to bring encouragement and training in the area of prayer. Please keep Barb in your prayers as she prepares for this trip, travels, and serves leaders throughout Mongolia.
