We’re celebrating faith milestones this weekend!
Our worship service will look and feel a little different this weekend. You may notice we have more visitors and more elementary-aged kids present in worship. This is because we’re celebrating the important faith milestones of family dedications and baptism this weekend. We love to watch God work in the hearts of our Five Oakers who are ready to publicly proclaim their salvation in Jesus by being baptized. We also love to watch our church grow as our families grow, and we are honored to join with families in dedicating babies and children to our local church and to Christ’s church. Join us as we promise to come alongside these families in these important faith milestones. We praise God for the seeds he sows in our church family!
Ladies, come to the TABLE in November
Are you looking to connect with other women around real conversation? Invite your neighbor and join us at TABLE on November 6 at 9:30 am. You can look forward to a potluck-style brunch, a short message, and guided conversation with other ladies around your table. Childcare is available for kids from birth up through pre-K. Serve our hungry neighbors in St. Paul
If you’d like to make a difference for our neighbors in St. Paul, join us to prepare and serve a meal at the Dorothy Day Center on Saturday, November 2, 9:30 am-1:15 pm. Interested? Email Cindy and Tim Wiant, wiynts4riverfalls@gmail.com. Tim and Cindy will get back to you with confirmation of your spot on our team and instructions on how to get signed-up. Volunteers need to be at least 14 years old.
Help with healing from divorce or separation
DivorceCare is a safe place where caring people come alongside you as you find healing from the pain of separation or divorce. In this 13-week Christ-centered support group program, you’ll find helpful counsel to manage the emotional turmoil and practical tools for decision-making. The group meets at Five Oaks Church at 7 pm on Monday evenings, starting October 21, but you can jump in anytime. Interested? Find our Five Oaks group and register here.
Provide a UGM Thanksgiving Bag to those in need
We’re looking forward to partnering again this year with Union Gospel Mission Twin Cities to provide Thanksgiving meals to those who cannot afford to purchase the staples for a holiday meal. Shopping lists are available here. Please return filled bags to church by November 10. Important dates to note in Student Ministry
It was a warm fall week outside, but the holidays are right around the corner! With that comes some shifts in our schedule that you’ll want to capture on your calendar: We won’t meet on Wednesday, November 27. Happy Thanksgiving! Our youth group winter celebration will take place on December 18, and then we’ll take off for the holidays and resume on January 15. Our snow tubing night (all 6-12th graders are welcome) will be on January 11. Look for all dates and any registrations on our website or your Church Center app!

“Drive Season” had quite the kickoff for The Dwelling Place. You all donated over 3875 items to support our local ministry partner and their efforts to provide safety and homes for women and children leaving domestic violence situations. And shoutout to Dennis and Arla Frigstad and their small group for delivering all these items! Their small group has an ongoing partnership with The Dwelling Place and has served there in many ways over the years.
