help us welcome visitors well at Easter
As you make plans to celebrate Easter this year, we look forward to worshipping with you. This is a great opportunity to jump in and try a new serve role, whether it’s in Five Oaks Kids or in Connections, as we will have some extra services over that weekend. Click here to find a role in Five Oaks Kids. To find a role in Connections, email Laura-Paige Albert.

Five Oaks Kids: Join us for Palm Sunday choir rehearsal!
Our Palm Sunday choir is an adorable way to kick off worship during the Easter season. If your kids are interested in singing in the Palm Sunday choir, join us at noon this Sunday in the worship center for rehearsal. (We will have regular kids’ programming directly following the kids’ choir at the start of our worship services on Palm Sunday weekend.) Can’t make it to rehearsal? Your kids are still welcome to sing on Palm Sunday, as we have been learning the song in Five Oaks Kids. Questions? Email Kelly Bauman.
Summer in Five Oaks Students: Don’t miss the sign-ups!
Summer discipleship opportunities for your middle and high school students are fast approaching! Middle schoolers are headed to Camp Getaway, June 9-14, for the biggest event of their year. High schoolers are going to the Challenge Conference in Kansas City, July 1-6. Both of these events provide opportunities for big fun, spiritual growth, worship, and deepening friendships. Details and registration for both of these events can be found at www.fiveoaks.church/students.
Lent at Five Oaks: Bring God back to the center
Do you ever feel as though life gets a bit busier each day? Sometimes, the day’s tasks fill our time before we make room for God and Scripture. This upside-down template may seem fulfilling for a while, as the busier we are, the less relevant God seems sometimes. Lent is a time for reflection and renewal. If you’d like to flip the script and get God back to the center, join us in exploring the essential doctrines of the Christian faith that Jesus taught in his seven last words. We’ll equip you with the foundational teachings of our faith and reasons why it matters to walk with God every day. We meet on Thursday evenings during Lent at 7 pm, now through Easter. Childcare provided. Questions? Email Tom Vang.
Brownies, bunco, bonding & Bible studies
Ladies, as you start making plans for spring, mark your calendars for these new and returning ways to connect. 1. We have two new evening “pop-up” (shorter length) studies starting Tuesday night, March 26 (Flourish by Lydia Brownback) and Monday night, April 8 (the book of Ruth). They both meet from 6:30-8:00 pm at church. 2. Join us on Thursday, April 11 where we will brush away the mild winter blues with Bunco, Brownies & Bonding. You can register for all of these on our website: www.fiveoaks.church/women.
Global 6K: Save now on registration!
In some countries, kids must walk 3+ miles each day to access dirty water, the only water they can find. You can help simply by joining our fourth annual Team World Vision Global 6K for Water at Colby Lake Park on May 18. You may run, walk, push a stroller, and bring your friends and neighbors! Your registration fee provides clean water for one person for a lifetime. World Water Day is March 22, so from March 18-April 10, save $15 per registration with code CLEANWATER. Register at www.fiveoaks.church/global-6k.
Join us for Family Fun Night!
Looking for a fun way to connect with your family and others at Five Oaks? Join us on Friday, March 22, 6:30-8:30 pm at Five Oaks. You can look forward to games (active or not), crafts, and snacks. Come and connect with other families who also have preschool & elementary-aged kids. Details and registration here. Questions? Email Kelly Bauman.
Specific need: Help turn sleeping bags into blessings!
One of our mission partners, Greg Larson, works in urban ministry at Kairos Church in East Hollywood, CA. They do some work with those experiencing homelessness and have asked if we’d be willing to provide sleeping bags or blankets to give out to people. These can be shipped straight to Kairos Church from Amazon, for example, or from another retail source.
